Cricket for the Girls
On Tuesday, 8 girls from Y4 and 5 went to a cricket tournament at Chippenham Cricket Club.
Their first match was against Lakenheath, which they won 87-57. Their second match was against Great Heath, who they beat 67-66! We then had quite a gap between games, which meant we got to go and play with our fans and spectators. I think the dads and brothers involved really enjoyed themselves!
Winning both our pool games meant they qualified for the semi-finals, where they played St Louis. It was a close game, with St Louis just edging it. We went into the 3-4 place play-off, where we faced Great Heath, the team we had already played in the pool. Fortunately, we were able to maintain our form and great bowling and win the match. We were all very proud of how they played and conducted themselves.
Well done girls!
