On Tuesday, 14th January, 20 children from Years 5 and 6 went to an Athletics tournament at Newmarket Leisure Centre.

They took part in lots of running, throwing and jumping events.

Out of 21 schools that took part, our team was 7th overall which was great (we may have been even higher if all our scores were recorded correctly…..)

We had some brilliant stand-out performances:

The girls were 2nd overall in the obstacle relay.   The girls were 1st overall in the 1+1 relay.

The girls were 3rd overall in the over/ under relay.  The boys were 4th overall in the 2+2 relay.

The boys were 4th overall in the over/under relay.   Jude won the standing long jump with a jump of 1.83m

Callum won the vertical jump with a jump of 42cm.   Molly won the speed bounce with 55 jumps in 20 seconds.

Everleigh won the standing long jump with a jump of 1.75m

We are tremendously proud of all the children who represented our school so brilliantly.
